Boim Solomon Solomonovich
Was born in Dmitriev, Kursk province. Recognized as an outstanding schedule of Soviet art. Lived in Moscow. Member of the Second World War. Member of the USSR Union of Artists. The main artist of the Baltic Fleet. He studied at the Kharkov Art College in 1917-1918. In 1922-1929 he studied (and graduated) VHUTEMAS. He took part in exhibitions since 1926. Since 1932 - member of the MOSSH. Works are: in the State Tretyakov Gallery; in the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, the Pushkin Museum. Alexander Pushkin, in the Museum of the Great Patriotic War in Moscow, the Museum of History of Leningrad, the Picture Gallery in Krasnoarmeysk. Kind of art: graphics, poster, illustrations for books. The main trends in creativity: socialist realism. The main themes in the work are military themes; portrait, views of Moscow and Leningrad, images of representatives of Soviet culture; everyday culture. The main genres (easel painting): genre compositions, portrait, nude, cityscape, still life. Main materials: watercolor, paper, pencil.
